| Dr. Fred Licciardi - NYU Fertility Center Dr. Licciardi has been practicing infertility since 1992. He received his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School and completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. After completing fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in 1992, Dr.Licciardi was recruited to NYU, where he is credited with providing the expertise necessary for inception of the original IVF program. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and reproductive endocrinology, Dr. Licciardi is experienced in all aspects of infertility therapy and surgery. He has become particularly well known for his knowledge of oocyte donation and for development of NYU Fertility Center's donor program, of which he is the director. One of the country's largest and most successful programs, NYU Fertility Center's donor program has a reputation for its high standards relating to genetic, psychological, medical and drug screening. Dr. Licciardi has been invited many times to address symposia and lecture at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He also has authored more than 50 medical and scientific abstracts and publications. Dr. Licciardi is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the New York Metropolitan Embryology Society and the New York Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists. | JOHN J. ZHANG, M.D., M.SC., PH.D., H.C.L.D.
New Hope Fertility Center Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology from The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Dr. Zhang is an early pioneer of minimal stimulation IVF and natural cycle IVF, embryo and egg freezing, freezing by vitrification and cytoplasmic transfer. After completing his medical degree at the Zhejiang University School of Medicine in China in 1984, Dr. Zhang undertook postgraduate training in the United Kingdom. He studied male infertility at Birmingham University, earning a Master's Degree there in 1985. He was one of 80 overseas student recipients of the British Postgraduate Scholarship in 1989. At Cambridge University, Dr. Zhang studied in vitro maturation and fertilization of mammalian oocytes, earning a Ph.D. in In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in 1991. In 1997, after more than ten years of training and research in the biology of mammalian reproduction and human embryology, Dr. Zhang successfully completed a residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine. In 2001, Dr. Zhang was chosen to become the first Fellow in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility of New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Zhang founded the New Hope Fertility Center in 2004. He has been recognized as a world leader in his more gentle approach to assisted reproductive technology (ART), including minimal stimulation IVF (the Mini-IVFTM treatment) and natural cycle IVF. He is one of a handful of reproductive endocrinologists in the U.S. who also holds a Ph.D. in embryology, with an additional certification as a high complexity laboratory director. His research interests include long-term cryopreservation of oocytes, embryos and ovarian tissue, as well as oocyte reconstruction by nuclear transfer. His research and clinical work in mammalian in vitro fertilization is highly recognized. He is invited to speak each year at worldwide conferences. |
